Sridevi’s conspicuous absence from brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor’s celebration for his late mother Nirmal Kapoor last weekend has set tongues wagging. Actor-producer Sanjay – younger brother to Boney and Anil Kapoor –hosted a small affair at home. Present were Boney Kapoor, their cousins and a few of Sanjay’s close friends, including Karisma Kapoor and Gauri Khan. Family friends Neetu Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor represented the Kapoor khandaan.
Sanjay had sent personal invitations to his B-town friends and colleagues. The doting son played perfect host and personally attended to guests who turned up to cheer him on. However, missing in action was bhabhi Sridevi, along with daughters Jhanvi and Khushi.
This led to endless catty whispers at the event about Sridevi’s absence.
Makes us wonder, what was so important that Sridevi had to give the family affair a miss?
